| Darakhshan gets Vandemataram National Award | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 12- Socialistic Democratic Party supremo Dr Darakhshan Andrabi has again been awarded for her nationalism and her contribution for communal harmony and fight against terrorism and separatism.
Dr Darakhshan Andrabi got the first VANDEMATARAM SAMMAN at Gawalior (Madhya Pradesh) at a very colourful function attended by a large number of politicians, intellectuals, sociologists and dignitaries. The Award was given away to Dr Andrabi by veteran Gandhian, reputed social-activist and ex-MP Jairaj Singh Pavayya on behalf of the All India Vandemataram Samuh. Chandra Prakash, the Chairman of AIVNS presented the award citation which reads:
"Dr Darakhshan Andrabi is not only a source of inspiration for nationalists and patriots in J&K only but in whole of India. This Daughter of India is a soldier without uniform. This award is a proud salute to her brave, fearless and unconditional patriotism and her nationalistic mission."
Speaking on the occasion Vandemataram Samuh General Secretary M.Y.Qureshi said that Darakhshan has proved the propaganda wrong that Muslims are not patriots. He said that Darakhshan publicly challenged the violence and terrorism sold in the name of the so-called jehad in Jammu and Kashmir and she through her historic campaigns like "Vote for India" and "Aman Ke Liyey Raishumari" proved that the common people of the state are happy with India and the only problem is because of the sponsored politicians. After conferring the award on Dr Andrabi, Jai Raj Pavayya said that Darakhshan is the Rani Jhansi of the present India. He said we feel proud to see the positive results of her historic mission at the ground level in J&K.
Dr Darakhshan Andrabi in her address reaffirmed her vow to continue her struggle till she succeeds in unfurling tri-colour in every heart in the separatism infested J&K
