Jammu, Oct 16: The Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) of the Agriculture Department today convened a meeting to consider the promotion cases of non-gazetted employees (Divisional Cadre posts) of the Agriculture Department, Division Cadre Jammu.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Sh. Anil Gupta, Director Agriculture Jammu, and was attended by Sh. Sandeep Seointra, Additional Secretary to Government, Agriculture Production Department; Sh. Sanjeev Rai Gupta, Deputy Director Agriculture (Central) & Member Secretary DPC; Sh. Manohar Lal Sharma, Chief Agriculture Officer Jammu; Sh. Rakesh Khajuria, Chief Agriculture Officer Samba; Sh. Jatinder Kumar, Chief Agriculture Officer Kathua; Sh. Santosh Bhat, I/c Legal Section DoAJ, and other senior officers of the department. During the meeting, the DPC deliberated on various proposals pertaining to promotions of non-gazetted employees, with an aim to ensure career progression, reduce stagnation, and provide upward mobility to deserving officials across different streams of the cadre. After thorough scrutiny, the committee cleared promotions of Section Officers and Head Assistants, strictly in accordance with the prescribed recruitment and reservation rules at their respective roster points. Speaking on the occasion, Director Agriculture Jammu, Sh. Anil Gupta, emphasized that District Cadre DPC meetings should also be convened at the earliest to expedite the process of promotions at all levels. The meeting was presented and detailed by Member Secretary DPC / Deputy Director Agriculture (Central), Sh. Sanjeev Rai Gupta, who highlighted the importance of periodic DPC meetings in maintaining departmental efficiency and motivating employees to deliver their best. |
