Two-day 16th Kathua District Fencing Championship concludes

JAMMU, Oct 16: The Two Day Kathua District Fencing Championship from 14-15th oct 25, organized by Kathua district Amateur Fencing Association under the banner of J&K Amateur Fencing Association in collaboration with Jan Spots Council, concluded today with great enthusiasm and spirited participation at Shivalik.
Heights Higher Secondary School, Gurha Mundian, Hiranagar. The championship saw participation. frown around 150 fencers representing 13 schools across the district, Young athletes competed in various categories Sub Junior, Junior, ami Senior, for both boys and guls showcasing impressive skills and determination in the three fencing disciplines: Epée, Foll, and Sabre. The Chief Guest for the closing ceremony was Mr. Vijay Kumar Sharma, Hon'ble MLA of Hiranagar Constituency, Kathua District in his address, Mr. Shama congratulated the winners and lauded all participants for their excellent display of sportsmanship. Among the dignitaries present on the occasion were Mr. Abhinandan, DDC Member, Mr. Yog Raj Sharma, Chairman of Shivalik Heights Higher Secondary School and other prominent citizens of distiret. The office bearers of the Association, Mr. M.J. Sharma, IFS (Chief Patron), and Mr. Sanjay Gupta, Architect (Treasurer), extended their congratulations to all the winners. The observer for this championship was Sh. Joginder Singh from JSK Sports council who is in charge Manager, Sports Stadium, Nathua. The event was conducted under the supervision of qualified referees and experienced coaches led by Dr. G. Nagasubramanian, High Profile Manager Khelo India State of Excellence, JSK Fencing
