MAM College organized Diwali Mela

JAMMU, Oct 16: On 15th October2025, the Students Welfare Committee of Govt. MAM College, Jammu, under the able guidance of the Principal Prof. Archana Kaul, organised "Diwali Mela" in the College Campus.
The mela featured a wide range of students led stalls including food counters, handmade diyas, rangoli colours, cultural exhibits, perfumes etc. A highlight of the events was eco-friendly Diwali initiative & entrepreneurship.
Students enthusiastically participated in diya decoration, food stalls, and music performances. Adding colour & festivity to the celebration. The events was inaugurated by the Principal Prof. Archana Kaul, Dr. D.S Manhas (Dean Students Welfare, CLUJ), Prof. Ashu Vashisht (Principal, GDC, Vijaypur) who appreciated the student's efforts in organizing such a lively & meaningful celebration that blended fun with cultural significance. Dr. Munir Hussain, Dr. Mohd. Akhtar, Dr. Rakesh Jasrotia, Dr. Sarvjit Singh, Prof. Menaka Rajput, Dr. Pinki Kotwal, Dr. Poonam, Prof. Shivali, Prof Nazia, Dr. Deepika, Prof. Asha, Dr. Imran were present in the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Archana Kaul address students that Diwali Mela is not just a celebration but also a reflection of unity, creativity & responsible festivity. It gives our students an opportunity to showcase their talents & cultural values.
The event concluded with a musical evening leaving with smiles & festive cheer. Success of the Diwali Mela reflected the college's commitment to nurturing community spirit & celebrating India's rich cultural heritage.
