GDC Neeli Nallah unveils second edition of College Newsletter "Neer: The Campus Chronicles"

UDHAMPUR, Oct 16: Today on 16th of October 2025, Government Degree College (GDC) Neeli Nallah, Udhampur proudly unveiled the second edition of its newsletter, titled "Neer: The Campus Chronicles", covering the period from January to June 2025 under the able guidance of Principal of the college, Prof. (Dr.) Seema Arora. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Chief Guest, Sh. Lal Chand ji, DDC Chairman, Guest of Honor, Dr. Nutan K. Resutra, Retired Principal and the special guests Prof. Kuldeep Sharma, Principal GDC Jindrah, Dr. Rajni Bhagat, Principal GDC Katra and Dr. Shalini Sharma, Principal GDC Majalta. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by all the respected dignitaries. In the opening address by Dr. Sunil Tanoch, Convenor Newsletter Committee, he welcomed the invited guests. After the welcome address, the newsletter was unveiled and the presentation of the newsletter was done, marked by enthusiasm, intellectual exchange and reflections on the transformative journey of the institution. The January-June 2025 edition of "Neer" includes a rich blend of content-ranging from editorials, faculty insights, student achievements, departmental updates, to highlights of cultural, NSS, and literary events. Special features also spotlight outreach programs, eco-conscious initiatives, and student voices that reflect the pulse of a progressive academic environment.
Speaking on the occasion the Principal of the college said that the second edition of newsletter is a living chronicle of our students' aspirations, academic strides, and campus vibrance w.e.f January 2025 to July 2025. With each edition, we aim to capture the heartbeat of the college-its stories, its challenges, and its triumphs." She also commended Dr. Sunil Tanoch, Prof. Rekha Sharma, Prof. Shaista Yasmeen, Dr. Akhter Hussain and Dr. Bilal Beigh, for their dedicated efforts in ensuring the event's great success. In the end, the Chief Guest extended his best wishes for the continued progress and success of the college in all future endeavours. With "Neer", GDC Neeli Nallah continues to build a platform that celebrates student creativity, academic rigour, and inclusive campus life, aligning with the vision of holistic education promoted by the Higher Education.
