Expert lecture on "Solar Emerging Technology and Green Energy" organized at Government Polytechnic College Jammu

JAMMU, Oct 16: Today on 16-10-2025, Department of Electrical Engineering of Government Polytechnic Jammu organises an expert lecture on the topic "Solar Emerging Technology and Green Energy" under the guidance and dynamic leadership of Er. Talet Mahmood Shawl, Principal Government Polytechnic College Jammu and Er. Sanjay Gupta H.O.D Electrical Engineering Department. The session was conducted by Er. Loveneesh Talwar, Head of Department, Electrical Engineering, Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET).
In his lecture, Er. Loveneesh Talwar highlighted the growing importance of solar energy in meeting the global demand for clean and sustainable power. He elaborated on various emerging Green Engineering examples such as Zero Energy Buildings, Biodegradable Cups and Straws, Electric Vehicles, biofuels, etc., explaining how these innovations are revolutionizing the energy sector. He also emphasized the role of green energy solutions in reducing carbon emissions and promoting environmental sustainability.
The Expert lecture provided students with valuable insights into the design, operation, and maintenance of solar systems and motivated them to explore careers and research opportunities in the field of renewable energy.
Er. Talet Mahmood Shawl, Principal Government Polytechnic Jammu, who appreciated the efforts of the Electrical Engineering Department for arranging such an informative session. He encouraged students to actively engage with new technologies contributing to India's transition toward clean energy.
The event was coordinated by the Electrical Engineering Department faculty members, and the Principal presented a token of appreciation to Er. Loveneesh Talwar for his enlightening talk. Other faculty members present during the event were Er. Inderjeet Singh Workshop Superintendent; Er. P. K. Angral, Er. Ankush Langer, Er. Devika Bhardwaj, Er. Vandana Chib, Er. Itika Sharma, Er. Vicky Sharma, Er. Moninder Singh and Mr Rakesh khullar.
