Vice-Chancellor University of Jammu, Prof Varun Sahni today flagged off JU 18-member squad for the All India Vice-Chancellor T20 Cricket Cup Tournament organized by University of Mumbai from May 16 to May 30.
Speaking on the flagged ceremony, Prof Sahni asked the players to maintain discipline at any cost while playing the game and play well to shine the name of Jammu University in VC T20 Cup.
Wishing good luck to the JU cricket team for the said Cup, Prof Sahni said “We are all with you and look forward to your returning victorious.
We have competitive side under captainship of Akash Bhola and Jammu University hoped that our team will play better cricket over there, said JU VC added.
The squad: Akash Bhola (captain), Dawood Iqbal Baba (vice-captain), Amit Targotra, Chaman Lal, Pawan, Abhinav, Subash, Vishal Soodan, Manish, Rajesh, Ashish, Mukesh, Surinder, Sumit. Raj Kumar (coach), Ram Singh (kit man), Sunil Sahil (manager) and Manoj Chouhan (assistant manager).
Senior functionaries of Jammu University authority were also present on the occasion to extend their good luck wishes
