Early Times Report REASI, Oct 18: In a continued effort to strengthen the criminal justice system and ensure timely justice delivery, Sarah Rizvi, IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Udhampur-Reasi Range, chaired a comprehensive security and crime review meeting at District Police Office, Reasi. The meeting focused on the implementation of New Criminal Laws (NCL) and progress of pending under-investigation cases. It was attended by SSP Reasi Paramvir Singh, JKPS; Addl. SP Katra Vipan Chandran, JKPS; Addl. SP Reasi Iftkhar Ahmed, JKPS and SDPOs of all sub-divisions. The DIG reviewed modules introduced under NCL, including E-Sakshya, E-FIR, E-Warrant, E-Summon, MedLeapr, Zero FIR, Community Service and Trial in Absentia. She emphasized effective use of E-Sakshya for digital evidence management and directed that SIDs be created for all cases to ensure robust monitoring. She further stressed mandatory FSL team visits in heinous crimes, meticulous inquest proceedings and prompt disposal of complaints to enhance public confidence. DIG Sarah Rizvi urged officers to uphold professionalism, accountability and a people-friendly approach in policing. SSP Reasi assured that all directions will be implemented in letter and spirit to ensure efficient investigation, timely justice and enhanced public service delivery across the district. |
