Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 18: During festivals, security is tightened at all railway stations and trains to ensure that passenger safety and convenience are not compromised. In keeping with this security, a joint team conducted a security check at Jammu Railway Station today, October 18, 2025. This joint team comprised ticket checking staff from the Commercial Department, officers and staff from the Railway Protection Force and the Government Railway Police. As part of this campaign, passengers' luggage was checked at Jammu Railway Station and trains, and passengers were made aware of flammable materials. The joint operation included a thorough search of the station premises, platforms, waiting rooms, etc. Passengers' luggage was checked by the Railway Protection Force and Government Railway Police. Ticket checking staff also checked passengers traveling without tickets at Jammu Railway Station. Under this campaign, passengers were made aware that carrying any explosive material on trains is prohibited. Strict action will be taken by the railway administration if flammable substances such as gas and petrol are carried on trains. Vehicles parked on the railway station premises and the luggage of passengers present at the station were thoroughly checked. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Mr. Uchit Singhal, urged passengers to exercise caution during the festive season, saying, "Exercise caution while traveling.
