Akhnoor, Oct 18: With exceptional skill and teamwork, the volleyball teams of Army Public School Akhnoor earned top honours in the Northern Command Inter Army Public School Volleyball Championship (Cluster A), held on 17–18 October 2025 on their home court. The two-day event witnessed spirited participation from various Army Public Schools and was marked by competitive matches, enthusiasm and exemplary sportsmanship. The championship featured high-energy contests where players displayed remarkable teamwork, skill and discipline—true reflections of the Army Public School ethos. In the Boys’ category, Army Public School Akhnoor emerged as champions, exhibiting superior coordination, agility and determination. Army Public School Rakhmuthi secured the Runners-up position after an intensely fought final. In the Girls’ category, Army Public School, Udhampur claimed the Winners’ Trophy, while Army Public School Akhnoor finished as Runners-up, displaying admirable grit and consistency. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony celebrating the achievements of all participating teams and acknowledging their spirit of fair play and perseverance. Miss Yede Vaishnavi Nitin of APS Udhampur and Master Sahil Manhas of APS Akhnoor were declared ‘Player of the Tournament’ in the girls and boys teams respectively. Mrs Geeta Devi, Principal, Army Public School Akhnoor, congratulated the teams, Mrs Sangita Bhatt, the head coach, support staff and players for their commendable performance, applauding their dedication, teamwork and discipline. She expressed pride in their success and encouraged them to continue excelling in future competitions. |
