RAJOURI, Oct 20: In celebration of Diwali, the festival of lights, Balnoi Battalion organized a heart-warming event aimed at spreading joy and fostering community spirit. The occasion featured the distribution of sports equipment, cricket kits and festive treats to locals, youth and children, emphasizing the values of physical fitness and teamwork. The event drew enthusiastic young athletes from neighbouring villages such as Balnoi, Mankote, Sagra, Dabraj and nearby areas along the LOC. Participants received new cricket kits, sports gear and essentials, symbolizing inspiration and the power of collaboration. The inclusion of sweets added a traditional, festive touch, creating lasting memories and joy among the locals. A representative of Balnoi Battalion remarked, "Diwali symbolizes light, joy and hope. Through this initiative, we aim to empower our youth and inspire them to channel their energies into sports and positive endeavours."
