Early Times Report SAMBA, Oct 20: The Cycling Association of Samba, under the leadership of District President Sh. Avinash Choudhary, organised the District Cycling Competition here today under the overall supervision of the Cycling Association of Jammu and Kashmir. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 45 young cyclists across various age groups. The competition was flagged off by Sh. Avinash Choudhary, who lauded the efforts of the association in fostering a sporting culture and promoting cycling among the youth. Prominent dignitaries present on the occasion included Sh. Om Parkash, General Secretary J&K Cycling Association; Sh. S.S. Gill, Ex-General Secretary and Coordinator J&K Cycling Association; and Sh. Kishav Singh, Observer from the J&K Sports Council. In the keenly contested event, Arman Singh, Daksham, and Nitish Khalotra secured the top three positions in the **Under-14 Boys Category, while Aryan Verma clinched first place in the Under-16 Category, followed by Krishna (S/o Ranjeet Kumar) and Krishna (S/o Sunil Kumar). In the Under-18 Category, Saiom Mahajan emerged victorious, whereas in the Girls Open Category,Miss Saianshi Mahajan bagged the District Championship title and qualified for the upcoming UT-level competition. The organising committee included Rahul Sambyal (Vice President), Kuljeet Singh (Secretary), S.S. Gill (Coordinator, J&K Cycling Association), and Davinder Kumar Mehta (Observer, Sports Council Samba) along with other team members.
