| One mouth jail for eve-teasing | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 13 Special Mobile Magistrate Electricity Court Jammu MK Sharma today convicted and sentenced to accused Vikas Dogra u/s 294 RPC to imprisonment for one month.
Special Mobile Magistrate, after hearing senior Prosecuting Officer DP Singh for the state and Advocate Ved Pal appearing for the accused, held that the accused is proved to have committed offence u/s 294 RPC and was convicted. As the accused is first offender and has faced the trial for two years. He is therefore sentenced to simple imprisonment for one month and sent the accused to district jail Jammu.
According to the police case that on June 30, 2007 Rajeshwar Singh Salathia Sub-Inspector Incharge PP Chowk Chabutra accompanied by constables were perambulating in the area at about 5.30 PM got information from reliable sources that near Maha-Lakshmi Mandir Pacca Danga a young boy uttering obscene words to the passing girls, the act of the young boy is causing annoyance to the passersby. On this information the police party reached on spot and accused was apprehended, after completion of the investigation police presented challan in the court of law. JNF
