RAMBAN, Oct 22: The Ramban Police organized a solemn ceremony at the District Police Lines Ground on the occasion of National Police Commemoration Day to honour the brave police personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty over the past year.
Senior Superintendent of Police Ramban, Shri Arun Gupta, led the tributes by enlightening the audience with the martyrs of Ramban district followed by reading out the names of the martyrs of policemen who made the ultimate sacrifice this year.Besides families of martyrs of Ramban district the event was well attended by several dignitaries, including Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Shri Mohd Ilyas Khan, SSP Traffic NHW Shri Raja Adil Hamid, officers of CRPF,,CID,F&ES,district officers,District Development Council Chairperson Smt. Shamshada Shan, Hon'ble MLA Ramban Shri Arjun Singh Raju, DDC Members, members of the Bar Association, Traders association,transporters association,NGOs ,religious leaders and retired police officers
Wreaths were laid and floral tributes were offered at the Police martyrs Memorial to honor the courage and sacrifice of the fallen heroes.
Notably Over 100 family members of martyrs from across the district attended the function. Following the formal tribute, SSP Ramban and other officers interacted with the families of the martyrs, listened to their grievances and assured them of early redressal.On this occasion
As a gesture of respect and gratitude, the families were honored with blankets under civic action programme and the event concluded with the serving of High Tea. |
