Gurdaspur, Oct 25: On the auspicious occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti, a sacred ceremony was organized at Sardar Beant Singh State University, Gurdaspur, in the Central Workshop Department to honour the divine architect Lord Vishwakarma Ji, regarded as the creator of all crafts and technologies. On this day, technical tools and instruments were worshipped with great devotion and reverence. The ceremony was held under the leadership and guidance of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Dr. S. K. Misra, who appreciated the initiative for preserving India’s cultural and technical traditions. The Workshop Coordinator, Mr. Anil Mahajan, along with the workshop staff, led the ceremony, and students enthusiastically participated in the event before attending their regular classes. Dr. Anil Kumar enlightened the students about the significance of Vishwakarma Jayanti, emphasizing that Lord Vishwakarma Ji is a role model for all creators, innovators, and craftsmen. He explained that this celebration reflects gratitude towards the tools and instruments that form the foundation of all engineering and technical work. Mr. Vikramjit Rana highlighted that worshipping tools symbolizes respect for hard work, creativity, and skill. He added that the teachings of Lord Vishwakarma inspire students to uphold the values of discipline, dedication, and excellence in their professional lives.
