Jammu, Oct 25: Director Horticulture Jammu, Jenab Sh. Gul Sayed Sahib, visited the Mega Fruit Plant Nursery, Chakroi, R.S.Pura to review the ongoing developmental works & nursery management operation at Chakroi Farm in the presence of Farm Manager, Assistant Director, District Horticulture Officer & other officers. He also took a detailed round of various sections of the nursery and emphasized that every mother block should have a prominently displayed signboard indicating its complete details, so as to enhance transparency and awareness among visitors and farmers.
While addressing a large gathering of farmers, Gul Sayed elaborated the farming community in detail about the Central and UT sponsored schemes of the department with a motive to enhance the farmer’s income. He urged the farming community to adopt modern and scientific Horticultural techniques, which would significantly enhance production of Horticulture and allied sectors. He advised the farmers to frequently interact with the field functionaries of the department regarding the new technologies and the problems being faced by them in the fields. Earlier the Director today distributed offer letters to newly appointed employees for the posts of Steno typist and under SRO MTS post. |
