JKNPP to go for mass contact programme
5/13/2009 11:25:34 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, May 13 : The Panthers Party has decided to step up its mass contact programme after the results of Lok Sabha elections were declared.
“We are waiting for the announcement of the poll results and the formation of the Government in the centre and after that we shall organise meetings at district and tehsil levels for promoting interaction between party leaders and the people," said leader of the Panthers Party in the Assembly, Harsh Dev Singh.
Mr Singh said people and political leaders had a hectic schedule since November last when the schedule for the Assembly poll in Jammu and Kashmir was announced. Since "we remained busy with the Lok Sabha poll we had no time to initiate steps for strengthening the organisation," he said adding that the Panthers Party will lay emphasis on enrolling the youth in the party. He said the Panthes party will initiate steps for strengthening its youth and women wing.
He claimed that Panthers Party would be a major political force by the time the next Assembly elections were held.
