The event, held through video conferencing, witnessed enthusiastic participation from candidates representing every state and union territory of India. With this latest round, more than 11 lakh (1.1 million) young men and women have now secured permanent government jobs through Rozgar Melas organized under the Modi government's nationwide employment initiative. The Rozgar Melas have become a key platform to accelerate recruitment across various government departments and organizations. The newly appointed candidates will be joining crucial departments including the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), Railways, Income Tax Department, Postal Department, Ministry of Defence, and Ministry of Health, among others. Officials said the move is expected to further strengthen public service delivery and bring renewed energy into governance at every level. Reacting to this development, Jammu and Kashmir BJP spokesperson and former Vice Chairman, Balbir Ram Rattan, hailed the initiative as a historic step for India's youth. He said, "Employment Fairs under the Modi Government are giving new wings to the dreams of the youth. Under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, the government is not only creating job opportunities but also nurturing the vision of a self-reliant India (Atmanirbhar Bharat)." Balbir added that such employment drives will "infuse new energy into the lives of millions of young people who are eager to serve the nation through their dedication and hard work." He also emphasized that Prime Minister Modi's vision goes beyond job creation, focusing on skill development, innovation, and entrepreneurship, which are essential for long-term national growth. He further remarked that youth empowerment remains one of the top priorities of the Modi government. "Campaigns like Rozgar Melas reflect the Centre's consistent commitment to shaping the nation's future by empowering its young citizens," Balbir said, extending his heartfelt congratulations to the new appointees. Encouraging them to serve with integrity and dedication, he urged the newly employed youth to "perform their duties with honesty and contribute to nation-building." The 17th Rozgar Mela thus stands as another milestone in India's journey toward inclusive growth and self-reliance, reaffirming the government's resolve to create opportunities, build skills, and unlock the immense potential of the country's youth. |
