| Plantation drive in GHSS Ghou Manhasan | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 10: In order to save the deteriorating ecological balance due to alarmingly rising pollution level, first plantation drive was launched by the Principal of Govt Higher Secondary School Gho Manhasan Smt kanta Devi by planting a sapling in the premises of the school. On the occasion Corporator Ward No 3 Gho Manhasan Rajinder Singh Chib was the chief guest on the occasion Speaking on the occasion, the principal advised the students to plant maximum number of plants to make environment pollution free and ecological balance more conducive for human life. She elaborated the relation of trees with the mankind and said that a plant once planted, needs proper care in future to grow to its full height, so that it could serve the humanity in true spirit. Rajinder Singh Chib while speaking to the students exhorted that such plantation drives must be intensified vigorously with the active participation of people from all walks of life. He also underlined the need to educate the masses to plant more and more trees for a better tomorrow. He congratulated the members of the society for their concerted efforts to improve the environmental conditions. Later, a number of saplings were planted by the students, teachers and the members of the society in the lawns of the school. On the occasion all the staff members of the school were present.
