| SC employees of JU demand strict reservation roster | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, MAY 13: The schedule caste employees forum of University of Jammu have urged upon the vice-chancellor, Prof. Varun Sahni to implement reservation roaster in favour of SC employees of the university.
SC employees in a meeting held here today said that the reservation roaster in accordance with the state government SRO’s issued from time to time, has not been implemented in toto in promotions with effect from the date the University of Jammu adopted the Reservation Policy of the State Government.
They further mentioned that a representation submitted to the Vice-Chancellor on December 26, 2008 has not tell date been looked into, beside a request was made to the Vice-Chancellor for holding a meeting with them on March 29, 2009 but their request was turned down and such are depressed for being ignored by the Vice-Chancellor.
The Forum appealed to the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sahni to issue directions to University administration to calculate the back log in promotion and fill up the same.
