| CGPWA, IIPA, SKK meet DGM SBI, discuss flawless DLCs, banking facilities to pensioners | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 27: A four-member delegation representing Central Govt Pensioners' Welfare Association, Jammu (CGPWA) and Indian Institute of Public Administration, J&K Regional Branch ( IIPA) and J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra (SKK) today held detailed discussions with the Deputy General Manager (Business and Development) State Bank of India, Jammu Jayant Mani and other authorities on providing best possible services to people. In this interactive meeting was held at the State Bank of India, Zonal Office, Jammu, Regional Manager, RBO-2, Jammu, Ajay Kumar Kamdi was also present. The three NGOs were represented by Kuldeep Khoda, IPS (Retd.) former DGP, and President CGPWA, Ashok Bhan, IPS (Retd.) former DGP and Patron of IIPA J&K RB, B. R. Sharma IAS (Retd.) former Chief Secretary and Chairman, IIPA J&K RB and K. B. Jandial, IAS (Retd.) former Member, J&K PSC and President SKK. They apprised the SBI authorities about the functioning of these three important non-political societies dedicated to the welfare of people through medium of their widespread activities including teaching of 120 hearing handicapped Divyangjan. Dy General Manager and Kamdi evinced keen interest in these activities and promised to visit these bodies in due course of time. The meeting had an in-depth discussion on various issues pertaining to pensioners' welfare, banking services, and the current scenario of banking and financial development in the region. The deliberations focused on strengthening coordination between the bank and senior citizen customers, ensuring timely redressal of pension-related grievances, and improving overall service delivery. The Deputy General Manager appreciated the valuable suggestions made by the former senior civil servants who nowadays are engaged in activities and Govt programmes , and reiterated the Bank's commitment to providing efficient and customer-friendly services to all stakeholders, especially the pensioners. Dy General Manager SBI was invited to deliver a lecture to the Central Govt Pensioners on DLCs and banking system in SBI which he accepted. They also visited the HNI branch of SBI and complimented the staff for providing excellent service to the account holders including pensioners. |
