Jammu, Oct 28: Mrs Laxmi Datta Senior leader National Conference and former Provincial President Women Wing Jammu visited various villages in Blocks Bhalwal and Mathwar as part of Door to Door campaigning in 77- Nagrota Assembly segment.
While addressing the local workers Mrs Datta said that the women population constitute more than 50% and deserve a right place in the society. She said the National Conference is committed to empower women in all fields.
Women folk in villages need awareness about the various schemes launched by the Government led by dynamic Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. So that benefit of these schemes reaches to the deserving women in J&K.
She called upon the workers to work unitedly in their respective areas to ensure victory of the National Conference candidate Mrs Shamim Begum DDC Member, she added.
Mrs Datta was accompanied by Kousla Devi, Veena Devi, Begum Amina, Sukanya, Arti Devi, Meenakshi Devi and others.
