SAMBA, Oct 28: Continuing its relentless crackdown on narcotics smuggling. Samba Police has achieved success with the conviction of an accused in a case registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Police Station Bari Brahmana.
On 24.08.2025, a case FIR No. 119/2025 registered at PS Bari Brahmana following the recovery of 4.16 grams heroin from the possession of accused namely Sagar Rana S/o Sukhbinder Singh R/o Barot Banal tehsil Fatehpur, district Kangra (Himachal Pradesh) A/P near Railway Station Bari Brahmana district Samba.
During the course of investigation, the Investigating Officer of the case completed all necessary legal formalities and produced the case challan before the Hon'ble CIM Court Samba. After due judicial process, the Hon'ble Court convicted the accused and was sentenced to pay a fine of Rs. 8000.00
