Early Times Report REASI, Oct 28: In continuation of 15 days certificate course on Integrated Nutrient Management (INM), Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi under the aegis of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies of Jammu (SKUAST-J) organized training programme on 'Integrated Nutrient Management' here today at KVK Reasi campus which was attended by a number of Krishi Udyamis of Kisan Khidmat Ghars(KKGs) and fertlizers dealers from different blocks of both Udhampur and Reasi distts. of J&K. The programme was organised under the dynamic leadership of Vice Chancellor of SKUAST-J, Prof. B.N. Tripathi and able guidance of Director Extension, Prof.Amrish Vaid of SKUAST-J. Various technical sessions were arranged during the programme. Dr. Banarsi Lal, Chief Scientist & Head of KVK, Reasi Scientist guided the participants on balanced use of fertilizers and manures. He discussed on the technique of soil sampling and urged the trainees to get their soils tested for the application of balanced use of fertilizers/manures. He also spoke in detail on soil health management. Dr. S.K. Singh, Professor, SKUAST-J virtually guided the trainees on the various kinds of biofertilizers, their composition and significance.He elaborated the benefits of natural and organic farming and guided participants on the formulation and use use of various bioagents. Dr.Arvinder Kumar spoke on the integrated nutrients management in various crops and highlighted the importance of balanced use of fertilizers for raising the rural economy. During the programme video show in INM and exhibition were arranged for the participants. The participants asked various quarries which were answered by the experts in a satisfactorily way. The programme was assisted by Manohar Lal and Sahil Kanathia and concluded by Dr. Banarsi Lal with the formal vote of thanks. |
