Early Times Report KATHUA, Oct 28: IRP-19th Bn. Kathua accorded a warm welcome and enthusiastic felicitation to a group of 34 students from Govt. Hr. Sec. School Jakhbar, Govt. Upper Primary School Sherpur and Govt. Upper Primary School Badala of District Kathua accompanied by 08 faculty members and staff of this unit, who returned today after successfully completing the Bharat Darshan Tour organized under the Civic Action Programme. The contingent, who toured various parts of the country from 24th to 28th October, 2025, visited places of historical and cultural significance including Delhi, Mathura, Vrindavan, and Agra. The group was received by Vinod Kumar-IPS, DIG IRP Range Jammu, who, along with Atul Sharma-JKPS, Commandant IRP-19th Bn, Rajinder Singh Rahi-SP, Dy.CO and other officers and officials of the unit, welcomed them at the Battalion Headquarters. While interacting with the students, the DIG congratulated them for availing the opportunity to explore different regions of the country and appreciate its rich cultural heritage. The students, while sharing their experiences, expressed joy and gratitude to the J&K Police for organizing the tour and providing them with a platform for learning beyond classrooms. The participants described the tour as a memorable and enriching experience that boosted their confidence, broadened their horizons, and enhanced their understanding of the nation's heritage and diversity. After the interaction, the students and staff members were presented with participation certificates along with chocolates as a token of appreciation. The event was followed by a lunch and a group photograph with the officers and participants. A vote of thanks was presented by the CO IRP-19th Bn, who extended his best wishes to the students and teachers for their bright and successful future ahead. |
