The study of science with PCM i.e., physics, chemistry and mathematics opens the way to a career in various fields However, most medical students dream of getting into MBBS after 12th grade. whereas students with engineering from IIT or a prestigious college. want to. But because of the low seats in these courses, this is not everyone’s expectation. No need to be disappointed. There are many cutting edge areas in science where you can build a better career on your own after 12th grade.
Traditionally, science stream students have been exploring their future in areas such as engineering, medicine, and computer science. After passing 12th, science students often find that there are limited opportunities to pursue careers in this field whereas nowadays there are many cutting edge areas of science where you can build your career. If you have mastered these areas, there are plenty of opportunities to get jobs in the related big companies. Learn about these modern options:
Robotics
You can go into this field if you are primarily interested in machines. mechanical, electronic, electrical engines. And the combined branch of computer science makes robots for use in space to medicine. These institutions should be used for education in robotics - IIT-Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, IISC, Bits.
Astronomy/Aerospace Engineering
Education opportunities in the field of aerospace are particularly prevalent. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is the leading institution in this field. Aerospace has managed to attract young people in the field of astronomy and aircraft engineering, a specialized branch that studies extensively the origin and motion of celestial bodies. The leading institutions in the region are - Indian Institute of Space Technology, Indian Institute of Astrophysics, IISC Bangalore, IIT Bombay.
Nanotechnology
The demand for skilled professionals and researchers in this field is set to increase in the coming time. Nanoscience prepares a substance for better use by changing its molecular structure. Nanoparticles and nanodevices are used today in various fields including medicine. There are major institutions for this - IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IISC Bangalore, BHU, Kolkata Viv.
Earthquake engineering
Earthquake events are increasing around the world these days. In such a situation, the demand for experts in this field is natural. Earthquake Engineering is an interdisciplinary field under which buildings, bridges etc. are constructed and studied taking into account earthquakes The aim is to enable these structures to cope with earthquakes. There are major institutions to help in this - IIT-Rudki, Jamia Millia Islamia Delhi, NIT Silcher.
Science writing
Nowadays, there are new research and inventions in health, lifestyle and environment. It is also extremely important to study and inform them in an easy style. You can do that by becoming an expert in science writing. You can get help from the Indian Communication Society, National Council of Science Museums etc. to become proficient in this field.
Nuclear science
Nuclear science is a broad field with applications that are effective in nuclear medicine, mining and environmental research as well. Join them if you want to join it - Shah Institute of Nuclear Physics, Centre for Nuclear Medicine Punjab University, AIIMS Delhi etc.
Bioinformatics
Computer technology is used in bioinformatics to manage biological information. The analyzed data is used in the discovery and development of gene-based drugs. There are useful institutions for this - Bangalore University, Jyoti University Women University Rajasthan, MNIT M.P., Calcutta University etc.
Forensic science
Forensic science is the name of a branch that helps to gather scientific evidence and draw conclusions based on their analysis during a criminal investigation. This is the branch of science in criminal cases. There are major institutions - SGTB Khalsa College DU, Punjab Vivi, Saurashtra Vivi Gujarat etc.
Environmental science
This stream studies the impact of human activities on the environment. It teaches subjects such as wildlife management, ecology, pollution control and disaster management. NGOs and UN projects in these areas are growing rapidly. There are good job prospects.
Water science
It’s a science stream connected to the water surface. It involves studying topics such as water quality management hydrogeology, drainage basin management, hydroinformatics, hydrometeorology. In view of disasters such as glaciers and floods, the demand for researchers in this field is increasing.
Microbiology
BSc can take life sciences or MSc Microbiology courses for this field. Then there is the option of a Master’s degree and PhD. In addition, fisheries science, paramedical, marine biology, behavioral
There are many areas that students interested in science can pursue, such as paramedics, marine biology, behavioral sciences.
Dairy science
With the consumption of milk in India, demand for trend professionals has started to increase. Information on milk production, processing, packaging, storage and distribution is provided under Dairy Science. Students can take the four-year undergraduate course of Dairy Technology after passing the All India level entrance exam from Science Subject. Some institutes also conduct two-year diploma courses.
Food technology and science
In this field, students are trending in the preservation and processing of agricultural and dairy products. It teaches useful things like plant and crop physiology, the principles of crop production, genetics, statistical analysis, experimental design, food marketing and product development, food processing, food engineering, nutritional quality, food quality assurance etc. Then someone can find employment in the tea, coffee, juice, spice, sauces, dairy, oil and fats and flour etc.
Nutrition and diet
This branch of science teaches the nutritional capacity and effects of food on health. Students are taught how to recommend a diet based on their health and nutritional needs. It also highlights the importance of food for treating and preventing diseases. This course is especially useful for those with academic backgrounds in Biology, Chemistry, Public Health, Nutrition and Medicine where trending people can work as dietitians in hospitals, clinics and sports centers.
Biotechnology
This is a research-based subject. The major courses for this include BSc (Biotechnology), BE (BT), BT, BSc (Genetics), BSc (Microbiology) etc. can be enrolled in a course of Biotechnology at the Master’s level later Employment opportunities in India are being expressed by experts for a number of reasons.
Clinical research
Students can find employment in reputable companies if they get a clinical research education from good institutions by doing pharmacology. It investigates the effects of a cosmetic product or medicine, harmful benefits etc. You must have a degree in chemistry, botany, zoology, biochemistry, microbiology, genetics and biotech. But entry into this field is only beneficial after graduation in pharmacy, chemistry or biochemistry.
