Jammu, Oct 29: Government Degree College Ramgarh organized an Awareness Session as part of the ongoing Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, being observed from 27th October to 2nd November on the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.” The event was held under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol, Principal of the College, and was coordinated by Dr. Snobar, Head, Department of Education, and Dr. Shivali Panjgotra, Head, Department of Environmental Sciences. During the session, Dr. Shivali Panjgotra delivered a comprehensive presentation highlighting the significance of vigilance in promoting honesty, integrity, and alertness in everyday life. She explained that the Vigilance Awareness Week is observed annually to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (31st October) and aims to remind citizens of their collective responsibility to fight corruption and uphold ethical values. The presentation emphasized the importance of building a clean, fair, and transparent society, curbing corruption and unfair practices, and making India strong and trustworthy. Students were also encouraged to practice vigilance in their academic and personal lives by being truthful, responsible, and aware of their surroundings. The session concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Snobar, who appreciated the efforts of all participants and highlighted the role of youth in promoting integrity and accountability in society.
