Amritsar, Oct 28: Guru Nanak Dev University kicks off Vigilance Awareness Week today with an Integrity Pledge Ceremony administered across its Main Campus, Regional Campuses and Constituent Colleges. This year, the Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed from 27th October – 2nd November 2025. In this context, an Integrity Pledge Ceremony was held outside the Administrative Block of GNDU at 11:00 AM, in collaboration with the Vigilance Bureau Range, Amritsar. The observance is based on this year’s central theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.” The ceremony was graced by Dr. K.S. Chahal, Registrar, GNDU along with Dr. Shalini Behal, Professor Incharge (Examinations); Dr. Rajesh Kalia, Deputy Registrar, (Finance). The non-teaching officers and employees were also present in large number during this event. During the ceremony, Dr. Sandeep Dua, Chief Vigilance Officer, administered the Integrity Pledge, to officers and non-teaching employees. In his address, Dr. Dua emphasized the importance of fostering a culture of honesty and vigilance, reminding everyone that collective awareness and responsibility are key to eradicate corruption. Dr. K.S. Chahal, Registrar, highlighted the importance of these initiatives in maintaining transparency and accountability in every institution. The event concluded with a strong commitment from all participants to uphold the values of integrity, transparency, and responsibility, reinforcing the message — “Let us stop corruption by spreading awareness.” The Heads of the Departments, Deans, Principal and OSDs led the pledge for thousands of students, faculty and non-teaching staff in their respective colleges, GNDU main campus and GNDU regional campuses. |
