Bootleggers arrested in Banihal

Jammu, May 14: Continuing its tirade against the bootleggers Banihal Police claimed to have arrested three bootleggers and recovered 422 Pouches of illicit liquor from their possession at Ukherhal this afternoon.
The accused have been identified as Kulbir Singh son of Ranjeet Singh of Chapran Ulkhral (driver of the vehicle), Reyaz Ahmed son of Abdul Rashid Bhat of Hounchak and Preetam Singh son of Sher Singh of Ganote Ramban.
Acting on a tip off, Police laid a naka under the proper supervision of SSP Ramban Mr. Sunil Dutt at Ukherhal and intercepted a TATA Sumo (JK14-A/8197).
During its checking, Police recovered 422 pouches of illicit liquor from the TATA Sumo and arrested three persons including the driver of the vehicle.
Police have registered a case at Police Station Banihal and started investigation in the case.
