Jammu, Nov 1: Continuing its firm action against elements disturbing public order, Jammu Police, under the leadership of SSP Jammu, Sh.Joginder Singh,JKPS, has tightened the noose around habitual offenders. Nagrota Police have apprehended one such troublemaker and booked him under the Jammu and Kashmir Public Safety Act (PSA). During the current year, 05 PSA warrants have already been executed against bovine smugglers in Sub-Division Nagrota, reflecting the commitment of Jammu Police towards maintaining peace and public order in the area. This is the sixth PSA detention in Sub-Division Nagrota this year. Details of the PSA Detenue: Raj Kumar S/O Anant Ram R/O House No. 127, Lane No. 9, Keran Gurah, Bantalab, Jammu. The accused was found repeatedly involved in activities prejudicial to the maintenance of public order, and multiple FIRs were registered against him for such offences. The PSA warrant was executed by PSI Puneet Sharma of Police Station Nagrota, under the close supervision of SHO P/S Nagrota and SDPO Nagrota, and overall supervision of SP Rural Jammu. The support and coordination extended by the District Administration in this regard have been exemplary.The detenue was lodged in District Jaip Poonch.
