At the outset, CMO Doda, Dr. Om Kumar extended a warm welcome to the Director Health Services Jammu and other participants, and briefed the chair about the objectives of the review meeting.
During the meeting, Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar conducted a detailed, scheme-wise review of the progress achieved under various centrally sponsored health programmes, including RBSK, DVDMS Portal, NTEP, AAM, Screening for NCDs, TB Mukt Abhiyan, Scan and Share, PMJAY-SEHAT, and other ongoing initiatives under NHM.
In his address, Dr. Zargar appreciated the efforts of the district health administration in implementing various national health programmes and emphasized the importance of teamwork, accountability, and timely reporting. “Our collective goal is to strengthen the healthcare delivery system at all levels, ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reach every citizen, especially in remote and far-flung areas,” said Dr. Zargar. He further added that focus should be laid on improving the quality of services, increasing public awareness, and enhancing data-driven monitoring to achieve better outcomes under NHM.
The Director also reviewed indicator-wise performance of each programme and stressed upon all officers to ensure effective and timely implementation of schemes in letter and spirit for improved health outcomes at the grassroots level.
The proceedings of the meeting were conducted by Mohd Shafi Attu (HE).
