| Jagriti Manch demand reservation quota for OSCs | | |

Jammu, May 14 The J&K OBC Jagriti Manch in a meeting chaired by Madan Lal Chalotra has demanded enhancement of reservation quota of other social castes (OSC) from 2% to 9% (2+7) as per the report submitted by the state commission for backward classes, reconstitution of OBC development and advisory board and grant of uniform OSCs certificates.
The meeting urged the government that since model code of conduct which came into being following holding of general election is to come an end now there should be no hurdle for the government to accept the demands of the Manch which have been pending since long. The Manch reminded that the government in the past had assured that all the genuine demands would be conceded and in this connection referred their meeting with the Deputy Chief Minister and other senior Ministers and administrative heads.
