| AUPS deputation meet CEO, discuss problems faced by Private Schools | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 14 A deputation of Association of Un-aided Schools (AUPS) during this meet with the Chief education officer Jammu here today apprise him about the various problems being faced by the recognized schools functioning in rural and backward urban area of the district. Deputation said that delay in confirmation of results for want of date of birth proff of students of 1st Primary is causing delay in counter signature of school leaving certificates of students. The deputation submitted to the CEO that the date of birth affidavits from the parents of such students any be treated as valid proof of date of birth as is the rule with National open schools (NIO’s) to save them from avoidable hardship. The deputation also submitted to the CEO to strengthen the system of Middle standard exams before start of cluster Zone level exams. The members also requested to extend the date of admission till ending may-2009 to facilitate the parents/students getting SLC etc. Surjit Ram Paul, Gopal Dass Sharma (working President of AUPS) G.R Mehta, Raj Kumar Dubey, Janak Singh Sambyal, Ramesh Lal, Prem Nath Sharma were the members of deputation.
