| Randhir urges NCP leadership to withdraw support to Congress | | | Early Times Report Jammu , May 14 The State NCP president Thakur Randhir Singh has urged national NCP leadership to withdraw support to Congress led UPA govt at the centre for its role in toppling NCP govt in Meghalaya. In a statement issued here today, Singh fuly supported the views of senior NCP leader P.A. Sangma who impressed upon Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar not to have any truck of understanding with the Congress in forming the next Govt at the centre. He said that the role played by congress leaders in dislodging NCP led Govt in Meghalaya is not in line with the political morality describing its as a sheer opportunism. Singh demanded that Congress and other secular parties to support Pawar to form next govt as he is the only leader of high political stature who can provide a strong and imaginative leadership to the country at this crucial juncture. He said what to speak of Meghalaya, in Jammu and Kashmir govt led by Congressmen has never cooperated with state NCP units which is a secular party and has got its units throughout the state
