Jammu, Nov 3: GGM Science College, Jammu clinched the Overall Trophy in the Inter-Collegiate Wrestling (Men) Championship for the session 2025-26, organized by GGM Science College under the aegis of Cluster University of Jammu on 03-11-2025.
Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal, GGM Science College, congratulated the outstanding wrestlers for their remarkable performance and lauded their dedication, discipline, and sportsmanship. He extended his best wishes to the team for future tournaments and encouraged them to continue bringing laurels to the institution.
The championship was held under the overall supervision of Dr. Devinder Kumar Sharma, I/c Physical Director and Associate Professor, Department of Physics, Dr Arjun Singh Rathore (Sports Incharge Wrestling) and Staff of the Sports Department of the College. The Principal appreciated their relentless efforts in successfully hosting the event and reiterated the college’s commitment towards promoting a vibrant sports culture and ensuring holistic student development.
In Men section GGM Science College remained in 1st position with 29 points. For GGM Science College Mr. Rouaf Ahmed won Gold medal in 61 KG, Mr. Ahsan Ahmed Khan won Silver Medal in 70 KG, Mr. Harsh Chib won Silver in 74 KG, Mr. Ashish Manhas won Silver in 79 KG, Mr. Mohd. Rahoof won Gold Medal in 86 KG, Mr. Majid Ahmed won Gold Medal 92 KG and Mr. Mohsin Shafi won Gold Medal in 125 KG.
