  Jammu, Nov 3:  BOOT (Building Opportunities for Orientation and Training) Camp was successfully organized by Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST), Jammu, at Government Degree College Kakryal, Katra in collaboration with the Department of Environmental Scienceand the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of the college. The event aimed to encourage innovative and out of the box solutions to challenges in agriculture, veterinary and allied sectors.  The camp commenced with an inaugural session, attended by faculty members and students from various disciplines. Dr. Rajni Bhagat, the Principal of the college, was the chief guest for the occasion. Dr. Sajad Khan, Head dept. of Environmental Science delivered the welcome address, emphasizing the importance of innovation in the field of agriculture and how participation in such camps will refine ideas through expert guidance, mentoring and interactive sessions.  The representative from SKUAST-Jammu, Mr. Sahil Gupta, Incubation Manager, highlighted the objectives of the BOOT camp, focusing on practical exposure, leadership development, and scientific understanding of agricultural challenges. Further, Mr. Rakesh Kundal, FPO Development Officer, Reasi also highlighted the significance of the programme. The camp concluded with a valedictory session, during which certificates of participation were distributed among the students.  |
