| Samba police foils 3 bovine smuggling attempts, rescues 21 bovines | | |

samba, Nov 5: Continuing its drive against bovine smugglers and their propagators, Samba Police has successfully foiled three bovines smuggling attempts in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba, arrested three bovine smugglers and rescued twenty one (21) bovines from the clutches of bovine smugglers. The vehicles used in the illegal transportation of bovines were also seized.
Acting on reliable information, a Police team of PP Supwal of PS Samba while performing patrolling duty, intercepted a truck bearing registration No. HP71-2533 near Nanake Chak for its checking. During checking, 07 bovines were found inside the vehicle which were tied in cruel manner and were being transported illegally without any valid permission.
The bovine smuggler identified as Kasim Ali S/o Mussa R/o Bhadholi, Sillaghrat district Chamba (HP) has been arrested and the vehicle has also been seized.
A case FIR No. 269/2025 u/s 223 BNS, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started.

During checking, 07 bovines were found inside the vehicle which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally without any valid permission.
The bovine smuggler identified as Sher Ali S/o Hasan Din R/o Dhangra Saho district Chamba (HP) has been arrested and the vehicle has also been seized.
A case FIR No. 270/2025 u/s 223 BNS, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started.

During checking, 07 bovines were found inside the vehicle which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally without any valid permission.
The bovine smuggler identified as Ghulam Mohd. S/o Din Mohd. R/o Pashalla Bunjwah district Kishtwar has been arrested and the vehicle has also been seized.
A case FIR No. 271/2025 u/s 223 BNS, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started.
