Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 8: Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar, Director Health Services Jammu (DHSJ), today visited District Samba and chaired a comprehensive review meeting with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Block Medical Officers (BMOs), and other health officials to assess the functioning of health institutions and ongoing health programmes in the district. During the meeting, Dr. Zargar reviewed the performance indicators under various national health programmes, including NTEP, NHM, NCD, and immunization drives. He emphasized the need for improving healthcare delivery at the grassroots level and directed the officers to ensure punctuality, availability of essential medicines, and proper patient care across all health facilities. The Director also stressed on maintaining hygiene and sanitation within hospital premises and strengthening referral linkages between peripheral health centres and the District Hospital. He appreciated the efforts of the district health team in implementing government health initiatives and urged them to further enhance community outreach activities and awareness campaigns. The meeting was attended by CMO Samba, DHO Samba, Deputy CMO, BMOs, and other senior officers of the health department. |
