| After Lord Ram, Krishna, Grand Alliance is now opposing Chhath Maiya: CM Yogi | | | Early Times Report EAST CHAMPARAN/GAYAJI, Nov 8: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed three rallies in Bihar on Saturday, seeking support for BJP candidates Pramod Kumar (Motihari) and Shyambabu Prasad Yadav (Pipra), as well as NDA candidate Romit Kumar (Attari). During his addresses, CM Yogi launched a sharp attack on the Congress, RJD, and the Grand Alliance, accusing them of fielding candidates with criminal backgrounds and disrespecting religious faith. He said that after opposing Lord Ram and Lord Krishna, the Grand Alliance is now opposing Chhath Maiya. "Those who insult faith and oppose Lord Ram should not be supported at all," he asserted. At his rally in Pipra, CM Yogi invited a young girl from the crowd onto the stage and encouraged her after she presented him with a hand-drawn sketch. His simple gesture drew appreciation from the audience. In his first rally, the Chief Minister said that the outcome of the first phase of voting clearly showed that Bihar wants to shine not in the dim light of lanterns but in the bright LED light of the NDA. "When the EVMs are opened on November 14, the people's verdict will be clear-Phir Ek Baar NDA Sarkar," he said. Emphasizing the link between security and development, CM Yogi said, "Investment only comes where there is safety. In Uttar Pradesh, we crushed the mafia with bulldozers. When the bulldozer moves, the mafia's backbone breaks. Bihar must also remain free from crime and continue on the path of good governance." He highlighted key infrastructure initiatives, including the ?6,155 crore Ram Janaki Marg connecting Ayodhya and Sitamarhi, and the under-construction Gorakhpur-Siliguri Greenfield Expressway passing through Motihari, which will serve as a major economic corridor. Criticizing the Grand Alliance's candidate from his first rally location, Yogi Adityanath revealed that 28 criminal cases, including those of murder, robbery, and kidnapping, are registered against him. In his second rally, CM Yogi accused the Congress, RJD, and allies of disrespecting religious traditions, recalling how the Congress denied Lord Ram, the RJD obstructed the Rath Yatra, and the Samajwadi Party attacked Ram devotees. "After Lord Ram and Krishna, these people are now opposing Chhath Maiya," he remarked, urging people not to vote for those who insult faith. Attacking the opposition further, he said, "The Congress, RJD, and their allies are the political face of jungle raj and have promoted criminals and gangsters in their regions. Bihar, which once enlightened the world with knowledge, was pushed behind in literacy because of its rule." |
