Early Times Report AKHNOOR, Nov 9: The Indian Army organized an awareness programme at Village Maira, Akhnoor, focusing on the benefits of the Defence Salary Package (DSP) Account for Veer Naris, widows and ex-servicemen. The lecture was delivered by a representative of the Punjab National Bank (PNB), Khour Branch. A total of 02 Veer Naris/Widows and 20 Ex-Servicemen attended the programme. The initiative aimed to enhance financial literacy and provide essential information about the various welfare schemes available to veterans and their families. The session highlighted the benefits of the DSP Account, empowering attendees with the knowledge to make informed financial decisions, effectively plan their savings and avail loan and insurance schemes designed for their welfare. The programme concluded with an informal interaction over tea and snacks, providing an opportunity for participants to share their experiences and queries.
