MLA Mohan Lal Bhagat inaugurates development works worth Rs 6.55 Crore in Akhnoor

AKHNOOR, Nov 9: MLA Akhnoor Mohan Lal Bhagat today inaugurated and kickstarted various development projects worth ?6 crore 55 lakh under multiple departments across Akhnoor Assembly Constituency.
The MLA inaugurated macadamization of roads worth ?1 crore under the Public Works Department (PWD) in Gurha Jagir, Bomal, Kaink Jagir, and Sungal areas. He also kickstarted the blacktopping of a major road under NABARD in Sungal-Sumah, amounting to ?5 crore 16 lakh.
In addition, the MLA launched several works under the Rural Development Department (RDD) in Gurha Jagir and Pangiari Panchayats, aimed at boosting rural connectivity and improving basic infrastructure.
While addressing the gathering, MLA Mohan Lal Bhagat said that the government is committed to ensuring all-round development of Akhnoor and its adjoining areas. He assured that every pending work related to road connectivity, water, and sanitation will be completed in a time-bound manner. He further stated that the vision of Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi to develop every village as a model village is being implemented on the ground with full dedication.
Prominent among those present were DDC Member Smt. Sharda Bhau, Mandal President Jourian Neeraj Sharma, Mandal President Sohal-Sungal Shamsher Dass, and former Sarpanches Varinder Kumar, Kishori Sharma, Ram Pal Sharma, Mahesh Chander, Anju Sharma, Rajni Sharma, Kuldeep Singh, Darshan Chib, Sanjay Sharma, Jagdish Singh, Bhagwan Sharma, Ganesh Sharma, Krishan Bhagat, Mahesh Sharma, Sham Lal, and KD Sharma.
From the PWD Department, XEN Sanjeev Sharma, AEE Sunil Baogia, JE Deepak Gupta, JE Rakesh Radhe, and JE Sourav Sarangal were present on the occasion.
