| Over Rs 1.21 lakh recovered from tax evaders | | |

JAMMU, MAY 15: An amount of Rs 1,21,200 were recovered from tax evaders by a team of vigilance and inspection wing of commercial taxes during the surprise inspection of commercial vehicles in and around Jammu city and on national highway.
The inspection team seized the vehicles carrying trade goods, Iron Scrap and sanitary goods etc. The fine was recovered on spot under section 67 of J&K Vat act 2005. The inspection team was led by Dy. Commissioner commercial taxes Shamsher Bahadur and assisted by taxes officer US Chandan and Narinder Singh.
