Early Times Report ANANTNAG, Nov 11: Anantnag Police today carried out extensive vehicle checking drives across various parts of the district, particularly along the National Highway and connecting roads leading to it. All permanent nakas remained operational, while additional temporary checkpoints were established at strategic locations to strengthen security and monitor the movement of suspicious persons and vehicles. The drive aimed to curb illegal activities, enhance road safety, and ensure strict enforcement of traffic and security regulations. Police teams inspected vehicles for valid documents, suspicious movements, and any contraband materials. Senior officers personally supervised the operation to ensure seamless coordination among all naka points and to maintain smooth vehicular movement during the process.
