Javid Dar lays foundation stones for various developmental projects

BARAMULLA, Nov 11: In a significant step towards strengthening rural infrastructure and grassroots governance, Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Cooperative, and Election departments, Javid Ahmad Dar today laid foundation stones for multiple developmental projects across various blocks of Baramulla district under the UT Capex and District Capex schemes.
At Nadihal, the Minister laid the foundation stone for the Construction of a Block Development Council Office Building under UT Capex, with an approved cost of Rs 125.16 lac. He also laid the foundation for a Bridge on Nallah Daikal Ladoora, costing Rs 25.00 lac under UT Capex.
During his visit, the Minister addressed the gathering, highlighting the government's commitment to improving rural connectivity and administrative facilities.
At Rohama Block, the Minister laid the foundation stone for Community Hall cum Multipurpose Centre at Humdub Panzalla under District Capex/BDC Grants, costing Rs 65.00 lac. In Rafiabad Block, he laid the foundation for construction of RCC Box Type Culvert at Budden Saripara under UT Capex, with an estimated cost of Rs 32.90 lac. The Minister engaged with local residents, stressing the importance of participatory development and the role of community infrastructure in uplifting rural life.
In Kandi Rafiabad Block, the Minister laid the foundation stones for two key projects, Community Hall at Kangroosa under District Capex/PRI Grants costing Rs 80.00 lac, and Block Development Council Office Building at Kangroosa under UT Capex with an approved cost of Rs 125.16 lac. Addressing public gatherings at these sites, the Minister emphasized the government's focus on inclusive growth, better governance, and strengthening rural institutions.
The total investment of over Rs 4.5 crore under these projects marks a major boost to public facilities, administrative infrastructure, and connectivity in rural areas of Baramulla.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore, SA Raina and Assistant Commissioner Development Baramulla, Mudasir Hussain Choudhary accompanied the Minister during the visit and briefed him about the progress and expected impact of these developmental projects.
Local residents expressed their gratitude for the government's sustained efforts in promoting inclusive and sustainable development in the district.
