| LG Kavinder Gupta reaffirms commitment to public welfare, inclusive development in Ladakh | | | Early Times Report KARGIL, Nov 11: Several delegations from different parts of Kargil today met the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta, at Raj Niwas, Kargil. Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC Kargil, Rakesh Kumar, and Superintendent of Police, Kargil, Nitin Yadav, were also present during the meetings. A delegation comprising Mohd Afzal and Mohd Kazim from the Medical Department met the Lieutenant Governor and put forth their requests regarding the creation, upgradation, or promotion of posts for Senior ECG Technician, Senior Cardiographer, Senior Anesthesia Technician, and Senior Technician Supervisor. Another delegation led by the Parents' Association of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Khumbathang, met the Lieutenant Governor and raised concerns about the relocation of students to Baramulla district during the winter months. They stated that Baramulla also experiences harsh winters and requested that the students instead be accommodated in Jammu or other regions with a moderate climate. Additionally, a delegation of part-time workers met the Lieutenant Governor and requested an enhancement of their wages in accordance with the Minimum Wages Act. The Lt. Governor gave a patient hearing to all the issues and demands put forth by the delegations. He assured them that their genuine concerns would be examined on priority and appropriate action would be taken in consultation with the concerned departments. Kavinder Gupta emphasised that the UT Administration is committed to ensuring the welfare of all sections of society and directed the officers to address local grievances promptly and effectively. He appreciated the constructive suggestions shared by the delegations and reiterated that the government is working tirelessly to strengthen public service delivery, improve infrastructure, and create better livelihood opportunities in every part of Ladakh, especially in remote areas like Kargil. |
