Akhnoor, Nov 12: In a significant display of commitment to the welfare of local communities, the Gagriyal Battalion, under the aegis of the Crossed Swords Division, organized a Medical & Veterinary Camp in the forward area. The camp was aimed at providing essential healthcare and veterinary services to the residents of the region, reinforcing the bond between the Indian Army and the local population.
The camp offered free medical consultations, with doctors providing treatment and distributing essential medicines to more than 150 civilians, including the elderly and children. In addition, veterinary services were extended to local farmers, ensuring the well-being of their livestock, which plays a critical role in their livelihood.
The event was a resounding success, highlighting the Indian Army’s dedication to serving the people, especially in remote and challenging locations. The initiative was warmly welcomed by the locals, who expressed their gratitude for the timely and effective care provided.
