| Plantation drive organises by GDC Ramgarh | | |  early times report
Ramnagar, Nov 12: A Plantation Drive titled “Salute to Mother Earth” was organized by Government Degree College, Ramgarh, under the commemoration of 150 years of National Pride “Vande Mataram” – The National Song. A total of 15 students and Faculty members enthusiastically participated in the drive and contributed to promoting environmental awareness and sustainability. The event was held under the guidance of Principal Dr. Meeru Abrol, who appreciated the efforts of the students and faculty members in organizing the plantation drive. She emphasized the importance of environmental protection and stated that such initiatives play a vital role in raising awareness about the significance of trees and sustainable living. Dr. Abrol encouraged students to make tree plantation a regular habit and to take personal responsibility for nurturing the saplings they have planted. She further highlighted that celebrating 150 years of Vande Mataram through a plantation drive is a meaningful tribute to Mother Earth and a reflection of true national pride. The programme was coordinated by Prof. Sandeep Kumari (HOD Education) and Dr. Shakeb Manzer, (Department of Sociology) who motivated the students to actively take part in the plantation and nurture a sense of responsibility towards nature. The initiative aimed to spread the message of protecting and preserving our environment for a greener and healthier future.
