Chandigarh, Nov 12: Living up to its reputation of excellence, Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women once again demonstrated its cultural and creative prowess by securing top honours at the 66th Panjab University Inter-Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival 2025. After clinching 2nd Runners-up Trophy at the Panjab University Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival, the college showcased remarkable talent across diverse categories, winning accolades in both artistic and literary events at the Inter-Zonal level as well. Keeping with the winning streak at the Inter-Zonal stage, the college clinched first prize in Creative Writing, Mime, Poster Making, General Dance, and Bagh Embroidery. Adding to the glory, the college also secured second prize in Elocution and Luddi. Further, the college bagged third prize in Muhavredar Vartalap, Poem Recitation, Folk Instrument, Luddi (Individual), Classical Vocal, and Geet. Applauding the outstanding performance at the festival, the Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma congratulated the winners and their mentors for bringing laurels to the institution and upholding MCM’s legacy of excellence in co-curricular pursuits. She commended their dedication, creativity, and spirit of teamwork that continue to make the college a powerhouse of talent.
