Ramban Police organises meeting with hoteliers to review security and regulatory measures,emphasises on mandatory filling of Form C

RAMBAN, Nov 12: In order to strengthen the security and regulatory framework for hospitality establishments in the district, a meeting of hoteliers hailing from Ramban,Gool,Banihal,Batote and Patnitop areas was convened today under the chairmanship of Shri Arun Gupta, JKPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Ramban. The meeting was also attended by representatives of Tourism Department, and Pollution Control Board, along with prominent hoteliers from across the district.
During the meeting, SSP Ramban stressed the importance of maintaining a robust security environment in and around all hotels, guest houses, and lodges. Several key points were discussed and deliberated upon.The participants were sensitised to ensure installation of CCTV cameras covering all entry and exit points, parking areas, and reception counters, with recordings retained for a minimum prescribed period.It was emphasized that registration of hotels with the Tourism Department is mandatory for obtaining access to the online system for filling Form C related to the accommodation of foreigners visiting and staying in their premises.They were advised to maintain record registers and digital footprints of all guests staying at their premises and ensure timely submission of details as per norms.They were guided to engage caretakers/security personnel to safeguard the premises and the visitors and ensure round-the-clock vigilance.They were educated to get the fire audit of their premises conducted followed by with corrective measures.On the occasion Representatives of Tourism department and pollution control Board also answered their queries
The participants were also stressed to get the character and antecedents of all non locals staff verified through respective police stations
The SSP underscored that all these measures are crucial not only for the safety of tourists and visitors but also for the internal security.

The meeting concluded with an assurance from all stakeholders to implement the discussed measures in a time-bound manner and extend full cooperation to the district police and administration in maintaining peace, safety, and compliance with statutory norms.AddlSP Ramban,DSP HQrs Ramban,SHO Batote and ICPP Patnitop raised observation during the session
