Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 12: On the concluding day of the eight-day-long Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP) organised by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), J&K Ladakh Region, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Sat Sharma attended the valedictory function at Jhiri Mela. The event was also graced by Ghulam Abbas, Director, CBC J&K Ladakh, and Ayushi Puri, Deputy Director. In his address, Sat Sharma lauded the efforts of CBC J&K for organising such a grand and impactful outreach programme aimed at spreading awareness about various welfare schemes of the Government of India among the large number of pilgrims visiting the famous Jhiri Mela. He appreciated the Bureau's continuous efforts in reaching out to the remotest areas of Ladakh and Kishtwar districts through its extensive communication campaigns. Speaking on the occasion, Ghulam Abbas highlighted the major activities undertaken by CBC J&K Ladakh and emphasized the importance of mass communication in strengthening public awareness about government initiatives. The concluding day witnessed impressive cultural performances by local artists showcasing the region's rich cultural heritage. The event concluded with a felicitation ceremony, during which all the supporting departments of the Government of J&K and participating schools were honoured for their valuable contributions to the successful conduct of the programme. |
